How to attach a phone line to your XJack Modem.
 

The modem installed in your laptop is a XJack Modem.  We have included this short explanation on how to attach the phone line to your modem. 

When not installed in your laptop a XJack Modem looks like this:

Please note the small tray.  This is where you plug the phone cord into the modem.   You can access this tray by:

Locating the Xjack modem installed in your laptop 

The modem is a PCMCIA modem which means that the modem has been preinstalled in your laptops PCMCIA slots usually located on either the right or left side of the laptop.   Here is an example of what the card should look like installed in your laptop.

Accessing the Xjack

Using your finger push lightly as in the photo above.

Insert the Phone Cord

The phone cord is installed by inserting it into the jack as shown below:
