Notebook Batteries

The notebook batteries that come with our used laptops are the batteries that were sold with the laptop when it was new.  So the batteries that are included may or may not hold a charge.  In most cases they do however we have no way to really test the batteries.  Keep in mind that notebook batteries are a consumable items and are like any battery.  They wear out.  In order add a new battery to the lowend laptops would drive the price beyond what anyone would pay for them. 

We have found that in most cases most people very rarely rely on battery power and have the laptops plugged into the wall.  So a battery that lasts 20 minutes or so is usually enough for the purpose of the laptop.  If that is not an option for you and your notebook we suggest that you either purchase a new battery or you purchase a new laptop.  Either way you will spend more money.  A new laptop battery for most models runs between $75 to $150. 

Some tricks to help improve your batteries performance is to put the battery into the freezer over night.  This will sometimes breath some life into an otherwise dead battery.  Keep in mind that it does not always work.
