Bob Johnson

Bob is the owner and founder of Bob Johnson’s Computer Stuff. Yes, he does in fact exist.

He is also the go-to guy for most e-commerce, marketing, and sales-related things.

Bob’s day-to-day consists of just about everything. Typically, anything and everything will end up on his desk eventually. The good and the bad.

One of the inside jokes around the office that Bob takes part in goes like this, “That is the CD ROM Tray - Not a cup holder.”

Outside of work, Bob’s hobbies include gardening, golf, and vermicomposting.

He has a featured museum in the office. This museum consists of older laptops customers have dropped off or traded in. It’s interesting to see how far computers have come.

Bob’s favorite rugged computers are the Panasonic Toughbook FZ-55 because of their XPAK expansion modules and the Toughbook CF-52 for its 15.4-inch screen. And if you want to learn more about Bob’s opinions on rugged computers, check out his reviews on YouTube!

Marisa Johnson

Marisa is the “go-to” woman of the company, she dips her hands into almost every aspect of the company in some way. She knows the laptops she works on inside and out, and nobody surpasses her expertise in the shipping area.

She was born and raised in Brazil, coming to the United States when she was nineteen to pursue the American Dream.

No one day is quite the same for Marisa; some days you will find her at her desk, while other days you will find her with the technicians grinding away at some rugged laptops.

When not kicking butt at BJCS, Marisa enjoys cooking, spending time with friends, exercising and watching futbol (AKA: soccer).

Marisa is the spouse of Bob Johnson and the mother of three, rambunctious children.

Her favorite rugged laptop is the Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 because it is the first laptop that she learned how to repair and it was easy to work on.

Matt Wertz

Matt is the general manager here at BJCS.

We consider him the rugged expert around the office. He knows almost everything there is to know about each rugged laptop and tablet, and everyone in the office goes to him for his knowledge about them.

His day-to-day consists of processing any orders that come in, answering tech support emails and phone calls, and answering any sales questions that our customers have. He will also be found, from time to time, piecing together broken computers to make complete, working units.

Matt is pretty handy around the kitchen, and is well known to cook lunch for him and his coworkers.

Matt spends his free time with his dogs, in the gym, or gaming.

A fun fact about Matt is that he enjoys sharing memes with the rest of the office.

Matt’s favorite rugged computer is the Getac S410. He admires its lightweight versatility as well as the ability to upgrade it with ease.

Zach Lawson

Zach has the privilege of repairing any and all of the Toughbooks that get sent to our repair department.

That being said, he elected to share this Toughbook tip: “Before you send in your laptop because it’s not turning on, take the battery out, unplug it, and hold the power button for a couple of seconds. Plug it back in and try again.”

In his free time, Zach likes playing video games, doing BMX, and programming.

An interesting fact about Zach is that he is the office’s only fully licensed drone pilot.

His favorite rugged computer is the Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 because it is simple to work on.

Matthew Johnson

Matt Johnson is the manager of all the local repairs from our walk-in shop.

He is also one of the few people with the knowledge of how to work the cash register.

Matt's day-to-day includes answering phone calls about our repair services and helping the repair department get through all of the repairs that come in.

One of the bigger inside jokes around the office that Matt is a part of is that he is the office's lead constructive critic. He is all about improving work for everyone.

His hobbies outside of work include sleeping and film development.

Matt’s favorite rugged computer is the Getac V110 because of the rotating screen and the multi-functionality.

DJ Smith

DJ handles editing and posting all of our YouTube content and is heavily involved in the marketing department.

He would like to share that “YouTube is the second largest search engine after Google.”

He creates all the videos for social media, YouTube, and the website. A typical day for DJ consists of editing and “fighting” with Adobe applications.

DJ likes to catch up on TV shows and do extreme ironing outside of work.

A fun fact about DJ is that he can bend a fork with enough concentration.

His favorite rugged computer is the Panasonic Toughpad CF-H2 because it is “the ugly duckling of the family.”

TJ Supper

TJ is the head of the repair department and the leading web developer for our website.

We consider him a jack of all trades with a keen knowledge of the BIOS in the Toughbooks. He is CompTIA A+ and Network+ Certified.

An average day for TJ includes updating website code as well as writing and editing content that goes on the website. His primary focus is to keep the website aesthetically pleasing, easy to navigate, and simple to use.

In his free time, he is a 3D modeler and animator when he is not playing video games.

After work hours, he along with his other coworkers frequent the local gym.

If you happen to walk past TJ’s desk, you are bound to find a Coca-Cola bottle on it. He regularly enjoys a fresh Coke. (The Coca-Cola Company does not endorse this statement.)

His favorite unit is the CF-54 because it is lightning-fast while still having a slim, rugged design.

Doran Janeka

Doran is a member of the marketing team. He is one of the content writers responsible for putting information on the website.

Doran’s day normally consists of answering Youtube comments, writing video and product descriptions, taking photographs of products, and optimizing the website so that you can find things quicker and easier when shopping for rugged laptops.

With the new ice cream shop downstairs, the biggest team tradition is getting ice cream. Typically, on Fridays, but that could turn into every day of the week in a heartbeat.

Doran spends his free time in the gym, playing video games, or spending time with friends and family.

He has earned his bachelor’s degree in graphic design and web development.

Doran’s favorite rugged computer is the CF-33. It’s “neat” to use it with a tablet and then reconnect it to the keyboard when you need a laptop.

Yevhen Didura

Yevhen specializes in refurbishing our newly received rugged laptops and tablets. He also helps fulfill orders that come through on our websites, making sure that they are functional and prepared for the customer.

His typical day involves diagnosing and repairing laptops, preparing devices for shipment, and supporting the team with order logistics. I help ensure customers receive dependable, well-prepared, rugged computers.

A good joke Yevhen has around the office is that he discovered “The Flash Drive with Priceless Knowledge.” Needless to say, he thoroughly enjoyed it.

One hobby that Yevhen has outside of the office is playing the cello. He also tries to race go-karts whenever he gets the chance!

According to Yevhen, anything from Getac and the CF-20 from Panasonic are some of the most dependable units that you could ask for.

Rick Baker

Rick is one of our inside sales representatives and the only remote employee at Bob Johnson’s Computer Stuff. He focuses on ensuring that our customers get the best unit for their needs, with all the upgrades they need at the best possible cost. He is extremely well-versed in Panasonic, Getac, Dell, and Durabook rugged computers, as well as their accessories.

A typical day for him involves providing customer service and following up on leads with new and existing customers.

He loves Bob Johnson’s “Family Model” team aesthetic. One of his favorite running jokes is that Matt J and Rick like to hang up on each other while they are on the phone.

Outside of work, Rick is busy tackling “Honey-Do’s” and spending time with his family.

A fun fact about Rick is that he created and owned his very own surfing magazine!
