Shipping & Returns


We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please note that products from RAM Mount and Brother Mobile Solutions may take an additional 2 weeks or more to ship.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

For parts, ground shipping to anywhere in the contiguous United States is a flat rate of $14.99. More info on shipping costs and arrival times.

Warning against the use of UPS My Choice® services

If you are a UPS My Choice® Member, we strongly advise against the use of any member services such as delivery to a UPS Access Point™ Location or Authorized Shipment Release service. Per the UPS My Choice terms of service, "UPS shall not be liable to you for any loss, claim, liability, or damage of any kind …" Essentially, using these services nullifies the insurance we place on the package and shifts all liability for lost, stolen or damaged packages to you, the recipient.

We strive to provide the best customer service possible, but we cannot absorb the cost of a lost or damaged shipment if you opt to waive UPS’s liability. If you are considering using a UPS My Choice® service, please understand that you do so at your own risk.


New (non-refurbished) made-to-order products

New products, including but not limited to Getac computers and RAM Mount products, are non-returnable and ineligible for exchange, refund or store credit. We will happily work with you to find a configuration that works for you, but once the purchase has been made, the sale is final.

Restock policy

Excluding computer parts, any undamaged, refurbished or used product returned within 48 hours of receipt is eligible for a full refund, minus shipping costs, provided it is in the same condition as when you received it. Returns of product after the 48-hour grace period, other than with defect (used laptop battery not included), are subject to a $10.00 or 20% restocking fee (whichever is greater). Returns will only be accepted within 30 days of the date of purchase.


Undamaged items which are eligible for return may be sent in for exchange within 30 days of the date of purchase. Eligible items sent in for exchange with an item of equal or greater value will not be subject to restocking fees.

Products damaged in shipping

If your order is damaged in shipping, please notify us by calling 877-202-7788. Damaged shipments must be reported within 48 hours of receipt in order to process a claim with the shipping provider.

Return of computer parts

Only non-working purchased parts are eligible for return. Should a working part be returned to us, either the customer must pay the return shipping or the item will be restocked and assessed a $10 or 20% restocking fee (whichever is greater). There is no grace period for computer part returns.

If a returned part is deemed defective, it will be replaced by Bob Johnson’s Computer Stuff. Should a replacement for a defective item not be available, at Bob Johnson’s Computer Stuff’s discretion a suitable replacement shall be issued. If a suitable replacement is not available within 30 days from the receipt of your return, Bob Johnson’s Computer Stuff will issue a credit. If purchased by credit card a credit will be posted. If purchased by check, money order, or cash, a check will be issued. Return credits are for product only and do not include any reimbursement for shipping charges. This does not apply to used laptop batteries, as used laptop batteries are not warrantied.

Fitness of purpose

BJCS cannot warranty any product as fit for any particular use or purpose. We strongly recommend customers evaluate a sample unit to determine by their criteria whether a product will work in their configuration. In the world of computers there are many products that may be incompatible with certain parts. We do not accept return of parts because they will not work in a particular product if they function correctly in others.

Damaged products

Any dismantled, marked on, or visibly defaced product returned by the customer will void all warranties. Any silver DO NOT REMOVE stickers must not be defaced.

Return instructions

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Repair form: All returns (unwanted, defective, or warranty/repair items) should include a printed repair form. Failure to return the item with a repair form could result in up to a 30-day delay in the processing of your return.

Pack returns carefully: Customers must pack defective, unwanted and warranty/repair items as if they are working in a manner similar to how the item was shipped to you. Bob Johnson's Computer Stuff Inc. is not responsible for goods that are damaged or lost during shipment. Please review this guide to packaging computer shipments.

Shipping costs: Customers are responsible for all shipping costs to and from Bob Johnson's Computer Stuff (unless otherwise noted).
