Different Keyboard Options For The Panasonic CF-33 Tablet

Bob looks at many of the possible issues that may arise when owning a CF-31

This week, Bob reviewed the two different keyboard options for the Panasonic Toughbook CF-33. While the CF33 itself is a powerhouse, boasting an extended battery for enhanced usability, it’s the accessories that can truly elevate your experience. Especially the detachable keyboards. There are two options to choose from: the Premium Keyboard and the Lite Keyboard.

Toughbook 33’s Enhanced Premium Detachable Keyboard

As the name suggests, the premium keyboard is the option that offers the most. It includes all the essential ports: serial, USB, HDMI, and even a SIM port. This means you can easily connect printers, external displays, and other peripherals without any hassle.

The Enhanced Premium Keyboard also features a standard touchpad, offering a familiar laptop experience while it's paired with the CF-33 tablet. The backlit keys are an added bonus, making it easy to work in low-light environments. Essentially, this keyboard offers everything you need for an efficient and versatile setup—the whole enchilada, so to speak!

Panasonic Lite CF-33 Keyboard

The other option that you have is the Lite Keyboard. This option is slimmer and more portable. It sacrifices some functionality for its lightweight design. The Light Keyboard features a backlit setup and includes a touchpad, but it only has a single port, resembling a printer port. This limits its connectivity options compared to the Premium version.

One notable difference is how these keyboards attach to the tablet. The Enhanced Premium Keyboard offers a more versatile arrangement, allowing for a T-shape configuration that provides a more comfortable typing angle. Unfortunately, the Light Keyboard doesn’t support this feature, as it’s designed to sit more neatly without that capability.

Which Panasonic CF-33 Keyboard Would Work Better For You?

The answer to this question depends entirely on your use case. If you need a lot of ports to complete your work, the premium keyboard would be better for you. If you don’t need as many ports, then the Lite keyboard would work great for you.

Overall, we would recommend sticking to the Premium Keyboard, because it is better to have the extra functionality and not use it rather than not having it and needing it.
