Why we have stopped selling new Getac products through the website
Although we believe our online ordering system is the best in the industry, configuring Getac products can get complicated. Given that these computers can be a substantial investment and are non-returnable, we want to help you navigate the process to ensure 100% accuracy and a stress free experience.
For over a quarter of a century, Getac has been a leading manufacturer of rugged mobile computers, predating even the venerable Panasonic Toughbook brand by several years. Formed in 1989 as a partnership between GE Aerospace and Taiwanese electronics giant MiTAC, the first Getac computers were purpose built to meet the needs of the defense industry. Today, that military-grade legacy continues with rugged devices built for use across a wide range of industries, including public safety, manufacturing, transportation and field services.
First and foremost, Getac laptops are designed to be tough. They aren’t cheap, but that’s because they are the result of uncompromising R&D and engineering. Built from the ground up to be incredibly solid, these laptops are constructed from high performance materials including magnesium alloy and specialty composites that have been finely tuned in Getac’s own facilities. In fact, Getac takes materials so seriously that they have become the world’s third largest producer of aluminum-magnesium alloy.

Coverage is comprehensive and repairs are performed by Getac technicians using only authentic OEM replacement parts.
