Eight years after the Toughbook FZ-G1's overwhelming success, Panasonic developed a new, next-generation rugged device engineered with the latest technologies to tackle the demands of the mobile workforce. With the combined body styles of the FZ-G1 and the CF-20, as well as the XPAK modularity of the FZ-55, the Panasonic Toughbook FZ-G2 features a fully rugged enclosure designed to withstand a wide range of challenging work environments for those constantly in action. Paired with a detachable keyboard, the FZ-G2 allows the user to interchange between tablet and 2-in-1 with ease.

The Rugged Design You Know And Love

If you’ve ever owned an FZ-G1 or a CF-20, holding an FZ-G2 in your hands will feel nostalgic. The FZ-G2 not only meets the standards of MIL-STD-810G like the FZ-G1, but it also surpasses its predecessors with the MIL-STD-810H rating. Rated with an Ingress Protection rating of IP65, the FZ-G2 has a dust-tight magnesium alloy enclosure and rubberized bumpers to prevent damage from drops, shocks, vibrations, extreme temperatures, and more. The FZ-G2 can take almost anything you throw at it, including dust, debris, and water jets, making it the perfect rugged mobile tablet for construction, EMS, and auto repair jobs.

The FZ-G2 comes enhanced with an Intel Core i5 processor and 16GB of RAM. It comes preloaded with Windows 11 Professional 64-bit and packaged with Panasonic’s proprietary utilities, making for a smooth user experience. Installed with a 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD, the FZ-G2’s load times are brought to an absolute minimum. No matter the environment, the FZ-G2 is ready to provide peak performance in situations when you need it most.

Feature-Rich Design

The raw power that the FZ-G2 provides the FZ-G2 has a large, 1000 nit 10.1" LCD that is usable with or without a stylus and compatible with a glove and in the rain. This fully rugged tablet also has a built-in infrared webcam with Windows Hello support, enabling biometric user authentication. On top of all this, the FZ-G2 also includes a long-lasting battery for those extra-long days out in the field. This tablet also has the option for 4G and 5G cellular coverage for those needing internet on the go.

Backward Compatibility and Modularity

The Toughbook FZ-G2 is also heavily customizable with its highly modular design and various expansion bays. It comes equipped with three easily interchangeable expansion bays offering 84 different combinations of configurations. These expansion bays have the same modular design as the FZ-55. The FZ-G2 is compatible with many of your existing Panasonic accessories and vehicle docks, including, but not limited to the FZ-G1 and CF-20. This level of backward compatibility allows you to upgrade your Toughbook arsenal without the need to overhaul your entire network of docks and mounts.
