The FZ-G2 has top and rear expansion areas for compatible modules, plus a separate quick-release SSD arrangement. Each area serves a different purpose.
Modules listed for one expansion area generally represent alternative choices, not features you can assume will all be installed together. Identify your essential connections and readers before selecting a configuration.

Confirm the exact reader and its compatibility with your organization’s cards, credentials, and authentication software. A reader being available for the platform does not mean it is installed in every tablet.
The FZ-G2’s quick-release storage design makes the SSD a separate configuration consideration from the top and rear modules.
Review the product page for available storage capacities. If you require OPAL-capable storage or another specific drive feature, confirm the exact SSD and required software configuration before purchasing.
Do not assume an SSD assembly or expansion module from another Toughbook will fit. Compatibility should be checked by generation and part number.
The expansion areas change the tablet’s functions; they do not provide memory upgrade slots. The FZ-G2 MK1 configurations offered here use onboard RAM.
Choose enough installed memory for your applications and expected multitasking when purchasing. A larger SSD increases storage capacity, not RAM.

The FZ-G2 uses a 10.1-inch WUXGA display with a 1920 × 1200 resolution. Panasonic specifies brightness up to 1,000 nits, gloved multi-touch operation, and digitizer input.
Check the included pen, tether, and other accessories on the individual listing. Confirm any required input settings and compatible accessories for your workflow.
A compatible detachable keyboard provides physical keys and a touchpad for longer reports or keyboard-driven applications. Do not assume a keyboard is included with every tablet listing.
For the keyboard arrangement described here, the tablet mounts facing forward rather than reversing on the base like a CF-33. Plan around the supported orientation when choosing a keyboard or mounting setup.
Panasonic designed the FZ-G2 to retain compatibility with many CF-20 and FZ-G1 docks, but this is not a universal compatibility guarantee.

Also confirm whether your work requires connections on the detached tablet, the keyboard, or a dock. Those arrangements can provide different access to peripherals.
Cellular capability depends on the generation, modem, antennas, and configuration. The 4G options shown on our current MK1 listings should not be interpreted as a promise of 5G support.

Hot-swapping the main battery requires the appropriate optional bridge-battery setup. Ask us to confirm that hardware if battery changes away from a power outlet are part of your workflow.

The configurations currently listed here carry IP65 protection ratings. IP65 describes dust-tight protection and resistance to water jets under specified test conditions, not protection against immersion.

Can I install every available FZ-G2 module together? |
No. The top and rear expansion areas have their own compatible options. Modules occupying the same area generally represent alternative choices.

Will FZ-55 xPAKs fit the FZ-G2? |
Do not assume they are interchangeable. Both products use modular hardware, but that does not establish matching dimensions, connections, or compatibility.

Can I upgrade the RAM in an FZ-G2 MK1? |
The FZ-G2 MK1 uses onboard RAM, not removable memory modules for a standard upgrade.
Choose enough installed memory when purchasing. Expansion modules and SSD upgrades do not increase the tablet’s RAM capacity.

Can I reuse my FZ-G1 or CF-20 vehicle dock? |
We have tested and confirmed that some FZ-G1 and CF-20 vehicle docks work with the standard FZ-G2 configuration. Compatibility depends on the exact dock and tablet configuration, so do not assume every combination will fit or function correctly.

Do compatible xPAK swaps affect my BJCS warranty? |
Compatible Panasonic xPAK installations and swaps are exempt from our retrofit restriction. They do not, by themselves, void BJCS warranty or extended warranty coverage.
Confirm compatibility and follow the applicable installation instructions. Other warranty terms and exclusions remain in effect.
