The Durabook U11-EX is an 11.6-inch fully rugged tablet certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. At 0.94 inches thick and 3.29 pounds, it pairs a magnesium alloy chassis with Durabook’s Coolfinity™ fanless design. Eliminating the fan removes a point of failure and a debris intake, and it is a key part of what makes the U11-EX safe for hazardous locations.

Certified to MIL-STD-810H and an Ingress Protection (IP) Rating of IP66, the U11-EX survives drops from up to 6 feet, is sealed against dust, dirt, and water, and operates in temperatures from -4°F to 140°F.

ATEX Zone 2/22 Certified for Hazardous Locations

The U11-EX carries ATEX Zone 2/22 certification with the markings Ex II 3G Ex ic IIC T4 Gc and Ex II 3D Ex ic IIIB T135°C Dc. Zone 2 covers areas where explosive gas, vapor, or mist may occasionally be present, and Zone 22 covers areas with combustible dust or fibers. That makes the U11-EX a fit for oil and gas refineries, petrochemical plants, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and any facility where standard tablets are not permitted. Technicians can run diagnostics, pull up schematics, and file production reports right where the work is happening.
