While this semi-rugged Toughbook CF-54 MK1 won't win any beauty contests, we aren't that shallow. It's what this laptop offers when you lift the lid that matters.The CF-54 has a matte finished daylight readable screen and backlit keyboard making it an excellent low and bright light tool. The laptop also offers some nice expansion options including three USB 3.0 ports. The 5th generation "Broadwell" i5 5300U 2.30GHz processor with 2.90GHz turbo boost helps keep this laptop a bit lighter than the Toughbook CF-53 models. We took the photos you see here, so you can see why we don't think this laptop will ever be a beauty. When it comes to a portable tool for the garage, shop floor or mobile professional, it is however, a beast!
