There’s no “better option” when shopping between brands unless you compare a Getac semi-rugged laptop, like the S410 or S510, to a fully rugged Panasonic Toughbook FZ-40 or CF-33.
That said, our refurbishment technicians prefer Panasonic Toughbooks over everything else.  Why? Among the Getacs, Dells, Durabooks, and Toughbooks they work on throughout their work weeks, the Toughbooks are easier for them to repair and upgrade. Most commonly, because they require fewer screws to loosen to remove the backplate and access components like the SSD and RAM.
From a user standpoint, there’s not much of a technical difference between these computers. Any factor that could sway this preference is strictly a matter of personal opinion.
